Wachovia Championship 2007
Welcome to all new Stuart Appleby web surfers out there.
My web site has been sometime in the making, now it's "off the ground" I look forward to bringing fresh and developing content to my site in the weeks/days/years ahead.
I plan on updating my blog weekly as much as possible, so I hope you can understand if I miss a week or two.
My plan is to bring to you my personal thoughts on the events past/present/future and tour news that floats around the course and even the locker room.
This particular week is the Wachovia Championship at Quail Hollow here in Charlotte, NC.
The Wachovia Championship has in a very short period of time become one of the premium events on the tour.
It's one very testing course; preferably in dry conditions (my opinion) it will test all the shots in a player’s bag.
There's constant challenges in keeping the ball on the fairways and then under the hole on generally quick and challenging greens.
We do get spoilt a lot out here, but the hospitality in Charlotte is amazing.
Speaking of being spoilt this particular week we get to drive in a very comprehensive range of Mercedes Benz vehicles, so we've got the ladies running for the keys before we head out for practice.
The weather in the initial portion of this week is going to above average in temp, so nice to help get things get firm.
Unfortunately by Wednesday we might get a storm or two that might soften things up for a few days.
The weekend looks like we'll get some mild weather, so some scoring opportunities could be on the cards?
I've not seen the condition of the course yet this year, but I can bet it's 100% ready for some of the best players to walk it.
Stay tuned to www.pgatour.com and see how it all pans out.
